SANDI K. NESS – Licensed in Utah
Sandi brings a diversity of life experience to her practice of law.
As a teenager, Sandi lived in five different foster homes, giving her insight into varied family dynamics. As an adult, she was married and had four children, but ended up getting divorced after twelve years of marriage when her children were just 4, 6, 10 and 12 years of age. Because of this experience, Sandi has a firsthand experience of the difficulty our clients face with divorce, and its aftermath.
Since her divorce in 2005, Sandi obtained her bachelor’s degree from Utah Valley University in Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Psychology. She then went on to earn her law degree and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Utah.
After being admitted to the Utah State Bar, Sandi worked as a parental defense attorney while working as a therapist at the Utah State Hospital. She then worked for a non-profit law firm, representing mostly women who were victims of domestic violence, helping them obtain protective orders, divorces, and paternity orders. Thanks to her legal experience and personal background, Sandi has a unique perspective on issues related to families, which she uses to help her clients better understand their own cases.
At home, Sandi likes to watch football, basketball, and her beloved Cubs. Sandi is also quite anxious to be a grandmother even though her children (now 17, 19, 23 & 25) seem to be in no hurry! Sandi also considers herself a Star Wars geek and loves anything Star Wars.
Sandi tries her best to live her life with the mantra, “Do or do not. There is no try.”
